Who We Are

Deborah Mitchell, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who has been in private practice in San Francisco since 2002.  Dr. Mitchell specializes in working with people with significant emotional regulation and behavioral issues. Dr. Mitchell’s work emphasizes the importance of understanding the function of disruptive behaviors while helping people stop unwanted behaviors and learn new behaviors.  Dr. Mitchell’s application of her skills to parenting issues was a natural progression with the birth of her two children.

 

Cheryl Jacobs, LMFT, has been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2009, and has been working with children and families as an educator and school counselor for over 17 years.  She is skilled at working with challenging students from toddlers to teenagers.   With compassion and integrity, Cheryl’s goal is to provide parents and families a safe and supportive space to improve family relations. 

 

Denise Cooper has been the owner and provider of a family daycare since 1983. She adopted the parenting principles based on psychiatrist, Alfred Adler, using the book Children The Challenge by Rudolf Dreikurs, M.D. as her guide. Her main goals have been to train, encourage and respect the children in her care. Her selfless devotion to her career has supported numerous families during some of the most challenging years of parenting.
